Rest in Peace Maria. We met in our freshman year at St. Edmunds H.S. and grew up together in Brooklyn. I still remember the disastrous camping trip we took with your sister. We survived on crumb cake in the rain when your car died. I remember our skiing trips to Hunter Mt in your little VW bug where we got stuck in a snowstorm. But we had so much fun in our adventures.!
You were so beautiful that I envied you. But you were more beautiful on the inside. I was always so happy when we could meet up. Now you are in heaven with Ryan looking down and protecting us. I know you will give it 100% as you did in everything else in your life. Rest in peace my beautiful friend.

I am a senior attending Manalapan. Ms. Ilarraza played a special role throughout my high school career. She cared so very much about every student. I was sure of that because she took the time to help me and took time to greet me in the hallway with a kind hello and a smile. My deepest sympathy goes out to all family and friends.

My dear friend Maria, you will be missed more than one can say. All the years of friendship and fun we had: Dancing, parties, BBQ's. Happy Hour's, concerts (who else would join Mike and I at a Pokémon concert). You were always up for a new experience and a good time. I'm happy our last time together was zip lining, white water rafting, horseback riding and eating in Panama. A memory we will treasure. You fought so hard, but now you're at peace and with Ryan. We'll take good care Jose. Love you forever

We are saddened by the loss of our beloved friend Maria. Ballroom dance, concerts, barbecues and Super Bowl Sunday will never be the same without you. We will smile every time we think of all the good times we had together. Our only solace is that you are out of your pain and together again with Ryan. God bless you our friend - until we meet again someday!
