January 10, 1935 ~ February 3, 2017 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Paul W. Maresca of Middletown passed away with love and peace, surrounded by his family. He was born to Gesuie and Carmela Maresca on their 101 acre farm in Lincroft, NJ purchased in 1917.

He is predeceased by his parents and sisters Angela, Marie, Anna and Rose. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Roberta (Abbes) Maresca; his four daughters, Elizabeth Maresca Allen and David, Ann Maresca, Nancy Maresca and Linda Maresca, three grandchildren, Stacey Shipman, William Shipman, Brandon Allen, and a great grandson, Parker Allen. Also, surviving are his brother and sister in law, Joshua and Sue Maresca and sister Gloria Janwich and many dear in laws, nieces and nephews.

Paul graduated from Leonardo HS in 1952 where he was an All-Shore defensive end football player and met and married his high school sweetheart Roberta in 1954. After graduation, when he wasn’t working on his family farm, he was a Tool and dyemaker for Naval Weapons Station Earle, Leonardo, NJ and enlisted in the Army National Guard, Company B, 50th maintenance Battalion, Sea Girt, NJ Sarg. 1st Class, serving 23 years.

Paul went on to merit citations for excellence as a Quality Assurance Specialist (Electronics) at Fort Monmouth, NJ until retiring in 1995. Paul loved a crackling fire in his wood burning stove in winter and a bumper crop of vegetables from his garden in the summer, all enhanced by the soundtrack of Patriotic, Big Band, and Boogey-Woogey music from a gentler time; but above all else, Paul loved his wife, his family, his home and his country!
