Virginia (Ginny) Belmont, born on May 4, 1935, passed away peacefully in Ft. Myers, Florida on Sunday March 5 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of James and Evelyn Lynch and spent her childhood in Bloomfield, NJ, graduating from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, Newark NJ. On October 27, 1956 Ginny married the love of her life, Peter M. Belmont, and together moved to Tinton Falls, NJ where they raised their five children and enjoyed over 60 years of marriage. In 2017 after the passing of her husband, Ginny relocated to Ft. Myers Florida to be closer to family.

She had a lifelong commitment to the service of others by volunteering at her church, Swimming River School, Riverview Hospital, local nursing homes and Spring House.
As a member of Beacon Hill Country Club with her husband Peter, Ginny became an avid golfer and enjoyed the many social evenings there with friends and family. Ginny had an artistic soul that was expressed through her many paintings, crafts and gardens. Above all, Ginny loved her family and treasured her time spent with them.
Ginny was predeceased by her husband, parents and brother, Robert E. Lynch. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Lynch (Kathleen Hillman), children, Stephen Belmont (Mary Scheller), Donna McNeil (John), Joanne Leonardi (John Daley), Maria Sporn (Scott) and Mary Belmont (John Strohm) and grandchildren Robert Martin, Tara Sporn and Brett Sporn.
