Tribute

Thirza Lynn Jacobus, 63, of Lincroft, New Jersey, and formerly Roseland, New Jersey, passed away at Riverview Medical Center on September 4, 2022. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Richard McCarthy Sr., sons, Evan McCarthy and Richard (Julie) McCarthy Jr., and daughter, Sara (Edward) Solomon. She was an exceptional Nana of four grandchildren – Matthew, Reese, Michelle, and Emersyn. Thirza is survived by her brother, Forrest (Enid) Jacobus and surviving nieces, nephews, in-laws, a multitude of life-long friends, and her precious pug, Bella. She is predeceased by her father, A. Forrest Jacobus, and mother, Thirza I. (Schaefer) Jacobus.
 
Thirza was a proud Alumni of Gettysburg College (Class of ’81). She had a thriving career at PSE&G for 30 years. Thirza was a treasured wife and mother. Her love for her family was unwavering. Thirza will always be loved, honored, and remembered for her unconditional love, support, and grace.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 16, 2022 at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.  A funeral service will commence on Saturday September 17, 2022 at 10:30am with interment following at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown.
