Susan A. Power

September 5, 1950 ~ November 30, 2019 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Tribute

Susan Power (nee Maxcy), 69, of Middletown, NJ left this earth, after a lengthy battle, to be reunited with the love of her life, Brad, on Saturday November 30, 2019.
Susan was born in Hackensack, NJ before moving to Hazlet, NJ where she resided until she and Brad moved to Middletown to raise their family.
She spent many years as an executive assistant with Lucent Technologies before finding her home at Stavola Realty. She retired from there in August.

Sue was predeceased by her husband Brad in 2003, but not before they put up a fight against his cancer together. She was also predeceased by her parents, David and Rosemary, as well as her brothers Peter and Thomas.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracey Lynn and her son Brad and daughter in law Kelly. She also leaves her beloved animal tribe.
Surviving are her sister, best friend and angel Patty Aguirre, RN (Marcelo) and her children Marcelo, David (Taryn) and Kimmie (David) who were adored by and extremely special to Sue. Her grand nieces and nephews Amelia, Lina, Brennan and Henry always brought a huge smile to her face. She loved being called 'Aunt Shue'. She is also survived by sisters Barbara, Karen, Debbie and Joann.

Sue was the definition of strong, sassy and loving. She had a voice and a laugh that you would remember. She coached Tracey in the River Plaza Youth Softball league growing up. Anyone was welcome in the Power home and especially the pool. She and Brad loved all the memories they created boating on the Navesink with the kids, their friends and their families. They also passed on to Tracey and Brad a love and compassion for animals that often left her asking 'where did this one come from?'
Pine Place affectionately became known as the Animal Preserve.

She loved her trips to Las Vegas and Hawaii. She was forever in her gardens and loved hosting her Christmas Day dinners for the entire family.

She demanded her children be kind, loving and compassionate and we hope she is proud of the adults we've become. We learned from two of the best. We just want you to give Dad a huge hug from us now that you two are finally reunited. We love you. We miss both of you. But most of all, we were proud to call you Mom
