Susan E. Kearney

Susan Elizabeth Kearney, 84, of Oceanport, passed away on December 29, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Newark, NJ to the late John Franklin and Rose (Lenihan) McKiernan. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Rutherford and continued her education at Catherine Gibbs Business School earning her Associates degree. Shortly after graduating, she started her career at engineering firm, Curtiss Wright. Susan loved to travel with her husband and best friend Daniel of 63 years, exploring the European culture and relaxing on cruises in the Caribbean. Most of all she devoted her time to her family, always making the holidays special. She mostly enjoyed sitting at the dining room table playing a board game with her grandchildren laughing loudly.

She is predeceased by her brothers, Jack and Richard and her brother and sister in law, Louise and Larry Latizia. Surviving is her beloved husband of 63 years, Daniel V. Kearney, her loving children, Daniel and his wife Deborah Kearney, Kevin Kearney, Kathleen Kearney, Jacqueline Kearney and Sean Kearney, her cherished grandchildren, Katelyn, Ryan, Brooke, Max, Jake, John, Liam and Grace and her dear sister in laws, Sister Mary John Kearney and Patricia McKiernan.
