Susan J Cahill

Susan J. Cahill, 55, of Columbus N.J passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 8th.  She was born in Long Branch and was long time resident of New Jersey. 

Susan was an avid artist whose love for animals and the beach were incorporated into her artwork.  Her work was presented at arts and craft shows across New Jersey. She was a graduate of Monmouth Regional High School, Brookdale Community College, Burlington County College and Monmouth University.

Susan is predeceased by her father Walter DeSouza.  She is survived by her loving sons Brian and Dylan; her beloved mother Janet DeSouza ; her brother Walter Jr.; her sister Lisa and her husband Richard; her aunts Jane and Nancy; her loving cat Sylvester and her niece and nephews.

If you had the pleasure of knowing Susan, you would know that she’d ask you to follow your passion, respect of others, and never allow the troubles of life to discourage your dreams.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at St. Leo the Great R.C. Church, 50  Hurley Lane, Lincroft, NJ at 9:15 AM. All Arrangements are under the care of John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue Red Bank, NJ 07701.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Susan’s name to SPCA International, PO Box 8682, New York, NY 10001 (spcai.org).
