Sudesh Sheela Jain, 76, passed away at Morristown Medical Center on June 3, 2018. She was born in New Delhi, India, to the late Anant Ram and Yashoda (Goyal) Jain. She had lived in Watchung for 30 years before moving to Shrewsbury three years ago.
All those who met Sudesh know that she brought light and joy into so many lives with her love, irreverence and spunk. In a world where people hesitate to involve themselves, she unselfishly helped in any situations where she could - without hesitation. She would then give it her all and work relentlessly to make things better. In her mind, there was not much difference in how she engaged with family versus friends - these were the people she cared about and they all got her love equally. We are blessed to have had her in our lives and glad that she made us all a family.
Sudesh worked as a doctor for Kessler Rehab Institute in West Orange before retiring after 35 years of practice in medicine. She was a dedicated, compassionate, caring, conscientious physician, administrator and educator/teacher. She was an extremely strong patient advocate and was one of the finest physicians.
She is predeceased by her parents; her brother, Subodh Chand Jain and her sister, Minu Jain. Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Suresh Jain; her brother and sister in law: Subash and Leena Jain of India; her sister and brother in law: Swaraj Gupta and Ramesh of Wall; seven nieces and nephews and their spouses and eleven grandchildren.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Avenue Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Wednesday June 6, 2018 from 3-6 PM with a Memorial service at 5PM. The service will be followed by Repast.
