On the morning of February 26, 2019 Rosanne Desendorf passed away at the age of 98. Rosanne was born and raised in NYC to Calogero and Conchetta Pacinella of Naro, Sicily. She worked at Chock Full of Nuts in NYC as a teenager. Rosanne enjoyed mathematics and pursed office clerical work. She was offered two positions, one in NYC and one on SI. She accepted the positon in NYC and there she met and later married predeceased John W. Desendorf in 1956. They were married for 48 years and raised two daughters in SI. Rosanne worked as a nurse’s aide at Edgar Nursing Home and studied accounting at The College of SI. After retirement they resided in Pennsylvania and Rosanne cared for local children in her community and enjoyed volunteering on the school buses. For the last 16 years, Rosanne was a Monmouth County resident. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing board games and enjoyed the beach.
Most of all Rosanne loved having family gatherings every Sunday and holidays. She was an incredible cook, an extraordinary hostess, and greeted everyone with a smile. She had an open mind, an open heart and welcomed everyone with open arms that entered her home.She was a wonderfully dedicated, loving Mother, Grandmother and Aunt.
She is survived by her beloved daughters; Constance Desendorf and Jane Basis and her husband Theo, her loving grandchildren; David John Desendorf and Stavros and Nicholas Basis and her great grandchildren David Jr. and Zachary. Also by her nieces Lynda Viale Marocola, and Wendy Viale Koutouzis, and nephews Michael Viale and Frank Caruso.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date and all arrangements will be private.
