Campbell, Roger Michael 68 of Middletown and Bayonne, N.J. passed away peacefully on September 19, 2020. He was born in Jersey City, N.J. to the late Thomas and Marion Campbell. Roger proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, graduated from Rutgers University with his bachelor’s degree and NYU with a master’s degree, then eventually went on to become a successful business consultant and comptroller for Prudential and IBM. He was an avid reader, historian, enjoyed the beach and traveling. Roger was very involved with many youth sports programs and served as the President of the River Plaza Youth Club. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is predeceased by his wife Kathleen (2013); a sister, Gail Mulewski and a brother, Jay Campbell.
Roger is survived by five sons, Michael ( Jessica),Daniel ( Alexis ), Ryan ( Jessica ), Patrick, and Sean, seven grandchildren(Leonard, Daniel, Sienna, Cassidy, Layla, Christian, Emma ) and brothers Thomas “Skip” Campbell and Larry Campbell.
There will be a visitation on Friday September 25, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Ave. Red Bank, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday September 26, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. James R. C. Church in Red Bank, N.J.
