Robert J Dwyer

Robert J. Dwyer, 85 of Rumson, formerly of Rowland, PA, passed away on January 29, 2023. Bob was born in Jersey City to John and Grace (Umscheid) Dwyer.

He graduated from Holy Cross grammar school and later Rumson High School, Class of 1956.
He proudly served in the NJ National Guard.

Bob retired from JCP&L as a UCM Supervisor after 40 years of dedicated service.

He and Barbara loved to travel together. They loved the cold weather and snow mobiling. Bob’s family was small but he was one of Barbara’s family and they all loved him.

He was predeceased by his parents and by his sister Dorothy Dwyer. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara (Cullen) Dwyer, daughters; Maureen Dwyer of Rumson and Kathleen Dwyer of Laurence Harbor, granddaughter, Page Smith and brother’s-in-law; Thomas (Terri) Cullen of NC and Kenneth (Connie) Cullen of OR

Family and friends may visit from 3-7pm on February 2, 2023 at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank. A funeral home service will commence on February 3, 2023 at 11am followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
