Richard Joffe, 61, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2018 in the comfort of his home on the creek in Sciota, PA.  Richard was the son of the late Mary O'Halloran Joffe and the late Edward J. Joffe, formerly of Summit.

Born July 20, 1956 in Elizabeth, NJ, Richard grew up in Summit before moving to Cranford, Linden, Elizabeth, then to Sciota, PA.  Richard worked in Injection Molding for over 35 years holding Lean Six Sigma, safety and management certifications, earned his solo pilot license in 1987 and captured life’s most special memories for customers of his videography company, VideoTech.

He'll be remembered well for his appreciation of music and technology, his razor sharp wit, his Dagwood sandwiches and cooking skills, his affinity for debate, his enjoyment of kayaking and his contentment on his creek - all of which he loved sharing with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shirley; his daughters, Teicia Gaupp and husband, Rob, of Red Bank, NJ; Michelle O’Grady and husband, Mike, of Lincroft, NJ; Aimee  Joffe of Warren; Kelly Barry and her husband, Peter, of Cresco, PA; and his son, Richard Joffe, Jr., of New Brunswick.  He was blessed with six grandchildren, Mikey, Sean and Shannon O’Grady; Robby and Matthew Gaupp; and Adaline Barry.  He leaves behind his siblings, Patricia Walker, Mary Elizabeth Garber, Timothy and Keith Joffe and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by brothers, Edward, James, Matthew and Christopher Joffe.

Visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank for viewing on Friday, May 25 from 3pm to 7pm. A Mass will take place at 10am on Saturday, May 26 at St. Anthony of Padua in Red Bank, with a repast immediately following.
