September 30, 1946 ~ May 24, 2023 (age 76) 76 Years Old

Tribute

It is with great sadness that the family of Raymond Williamson, Sr., 76, of Ocean, formerly of Middletown, announces his passing on May 24, 2023 at Jersey Shore Hospital after a 20 year battle with Renal cancer. Ray, son of Frederick, Sr. and Anne Williamson, was raised in Leonardo. He graduated from Middletown High School, Class of 1964 and from Wagner College in 1968 playing 8 years of football and track & field. Ray was a proud brother of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. He was a successful sales manager in the textile industry for over 40 years.

Ray enjoyed everything about the beach, boating and cheering on his Cowboys and the Mets but, what he loved most was his family. He'll be remembered by all his great holiday traditions. Ray's friends will never forget his love of dancing, Santana, and being the master of mixing Mai Tais and Manhattans.

Ray is survived by his high school sweetheart, Maureen Barton (married in 1966) and his sons Ray Jr. (Joleen), Bob (partner Pam) and daughter Michelle Conover (Jeff), his grandchildren Jaime, Trevor (Sydney), Megan, Brandon, Kevin and Morgan and great-grandchild Peyton Carol, and former daughter-in-law Vicki. He will be missed by his brother Fred (Diona), sisters Joanna and Geraldine (John), and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 3pm to 7pm at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue in Red Bank. A small service will be held at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond's memory to the American Cancer Society at https://donate.cancer.org
