He graduated from Scranton University in PA, worked as an insurance broker for John Hancock for many years and he proudly served our country in the Army. Ray was a life resident of Fair Haven before moving to Shadow Lake seven years ago.
Ray was very involved in his community. Whether planning the big firework show or coaching/supporting his daughters’ sports teams, he always made his presence known. He was a proud member and past commodore of the Shrewsbury River Yacht Club where he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Ray was an avid golfer that loved sharing the sport with his beloved wife Sandy.
He was a proud man that made sure those around him were always smiling and taken care of. Whether it was his peanut butter and ham sandwich he just made or giving up his seat at the bar, Ray always looked out for others. He loved his daughters and grandchildren immensely. If you knew him, then you know that a hug from Ray Davis was like no other.
No one enjoyed life better than Ray Davis. His family intends to give him the proper sendoff he deserves. Information regarding his “Celebration of Life” will be forthcoming in the months ahead.
