Norman Deacy, of Red Bank, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 19, at Riverview Hospital.
Norman was predeceased by his parents, Louise and Norman Deacy. He survived by his loving wife Virginia (Ginny) Deacy. And her children - Lauren and John Ivanchenko, Bernie and Cynthia Dowd, Liz and Jack Simons, Jennifer and Ted Mellor, and John and Lisa Dowd. And grandchildren- Melissa, Abby, Maggy, Taylor, Mary, Conor, Sarah, Alex, Mattea, Catherine, John and Liana. And great grandchildren- Maizey, Fiona, Phoebe, and Adeline.
Norman was born and raised in Red Bank, New Jersey and graduated from Red Bank High School. He served in the National Guard and had a fulfilling career as real estate appraiser. He was a life time member of Saint James Church where his faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was also an active member of the Briody Bunch social organization. Norman loved watching all sports especially golf and his beloved New York Yankees. He loved boating and waking up to a view of the Navesink River from their home. Most importantly, Norman cherished time with his wife Ginny and their family. He will be remembered for his huge heart and infectious laugh. Norman was a dear friend to so many and will be greatly missed.
