November 25, 1949 ~ February 17, 2021 (age 71) 71 Years Old

Tribute

Nancy Lang Albano died on February 17th, 2021.  She was 71.

She was born in Bethesda, Maryland to Greg and Edie Wallace Lang. Her father was in the Navy and they moved often until settling more permanently in West Caldwell, NJ.  There she was active in the Girl Scouts, her church choir, and in several singing groups at James Caldwell High School.  She stayed in touch with her school friends since graduation, meeting with them each year.

Nancy graduated from Cedar Crest College where she also met lifelong friends.  After marrying, she taught elementary school for a time and eventually worked many years for Pereaux Interior Design, in Morristown NJ.  Upon retirement, she moved to the Jersey Shore, as she loved being near the ocean.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents, and her brother Richard Lang.  She leaves behind her two daughters,  Jacquie (Jeremy) Schabot, and Amy (Matt) Jachyra,  as well as her four grandchildren; Kate, Emma, Henry and Greg.  She also leaves behind two special step-granddaughters,  Samantha and Emma Schabot. Nancy is survived by her sister, Susan Lang Martin (John), her former husband, Joe Albano, and sisters-in-law Lea Ann (Bill) McCormick, Patricia DeMaio and Dr. Rosemary Mazzanti.

Nancy was not only a fun and loving grandmother, she was a super aunt to all her nieces and nephews.  Her family and friends will remember her as generous, inquisitive and as someone who enjoyed interacting with everyone she met. She had a great talent for picking out the perfect greeting card, writing informative Christmas letters and keeping in touch with the people she loved, all over the world. She will be missed by us all.
