MIRIAM BARRETT KEATING, age 96, passed away on March 14, 2023.
Miriam was born and raised on Staten Island and attended business school in NYC and worked there for several years. After marriage she settled in New Jersey, residing since 1984 in Middletown. She was pre-deceased by her husband William R. Keating and brothers Lincoln and Raymond Barrett. Survived by sons, William Keating of Denville, Robert Keating of West Hills, CA and her daughter, Carolyn Keating Levenson and husband Judd of Springfield, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was secretary to the Pastor at Central Presbyterian Church in Summit. Miriam was interested in the humane treatment of people and animals and the care of the environment and supported many causes, volunteering at a number of organizations, including the SPCA in Eatontown and Care One in Holmdel, where she played piano. She loved travel and music and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Red Bank.

A memorial gathering will be held on Fri., March 31st from 2pm to 4pm at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. A service will commence at 3:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the SPCA at 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724, or to the charity of your choice.
