Mildred L. Scoppetuolo

It is with great sadness we announce the death of our mother, Mildred Scoppetuolo, 91, of Little Silver.  Mom passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, March 26th at 335pm.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, her parents Tony and Mary Cicalese and brother, Anthony Cicalese.

She is survived by her 4 children and their spouses:  Donna Lynn (Ray) Manning, Marylou (Scott) Anton, Steven Scoppetuolo and Tony (Kathy) Scoppetuolo; as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren,  who she dearly loved.

Mom was a giving, loving Mother and Nana. Her happiest moments were cooking for and being with her family. She was an active member of the St Ann Society and lifelong member of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Red Bank.  Our parents lived happily together for 35 years.  They lived in Little Silver where they raised their 4 children.  Mom was active in all her children’s lives from PTA to RBR Booster Club with Dad and continued for several years after the last of us graduated.

Mom was a talented knitter who gifted her family with beautiful items that will be cherished forever with love.  She was also part of Craft Buddies who knitted caps and lap blankets for cancer patients, and premature babies which were donated to hospitals in the area.  Some of her favorite things were, spending her summer days at the beach, gardening and when she was able, traveling to visit her children who lived out of state. Mom was a tough woman who lived life to the fullest and had a wonderfully big heart that matched her great smile.  She was independent right up until the past few months.

Services and burial will be privately attended by her family due to the COVID 19 pandemic.  A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be scheduled at a later date.
