Michael D. Hodecker

Michael D. Hodecker, 71, of Matawan passed away, Monday, December 25th.

He was a dedicated teacher of English at Cedar Ridge H.S. in Old Bridge for over 30 years where he also served as a Year Book and Ecology Club advisor.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Kathryn (nee: Ribustelli), his loving children and their spouses; Emily L. Hodecker and Alfonso Ferrara Jr. and Dean and Emily B. Hodecker and his beloved grandchildren; Alfonso L. and Sonni M. Ferrara.

His humble, generous, kind, and gentle spirit will live on in the nature of his children and grandchildren. And in the simplest of beauties and grandest of words, will be his memory.

A life celebration will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 am on Saturday, December 30th at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Ave. Red Bank, NJ 07701. A Funeral Home service at 11:00 am will follow.
