May R. Becker, died December 25, 2021 in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, announced her family.
May was born February 24, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York to her parents, Isador and Fanny Ronis. She graduated from Thomas Edison State College with a bachelor’s degree while working full time and raising her 5 children.
May was always busy learning and bettering herself and all around her. A talented musician, stockbroker and real estate investor, she’d keep her husband up at night while she researched her next trip or dinner party. In between, she managed to be a Toast Mistress and Zontian holding various positions in each organization and attending world events with them.
May was took a very pragmatic look at life and made sure to get the most out of every day. Together with her husband Ben, they had a wonderful 70-year marriage before his passing at age 95 in 2012.
They are survived by their children, Donna Chapman - Port Arthur, TX, Debbie Mead - Ocean Twp., NJ, Wendy & Michael Burke - Holly Hill, FL, Robert Becker - Middletown, NJ and Douglas & Grace Becker - Little Silver, NJ. She also had 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Jennifer Jeremie & her caregivers at The Chelsea and for their loving care in her later years of life.
Funeral services will be private with a celebration of life to be held at a future date.
