Orlando, Sr. and Olga (Kozlowsky) Orlando.  He was stationed in Germany and lived in Connecticut until 1971, when he was transferred to Fort Monmouth, Commanding the 250th Signal Battalion. Mo retired from the Army in 1979 and began his civilian career at Fort Monmouth as a Logistics Management Specialist

Mo grew up in Pawcatuck, CT, with his parents and 3 younger sisters.  A natural athlete, he participated in and excelled at Baseball, Golf and Tennis at Stonington High School.   Mo graduated from Providence College, RI, where he was a standout baseball player for the Friars.  He was also an avid golfer and tennis player.  Mo was a long-time member of the Fort Monmouth Officers Club.  He could always be found on the golf course, teaching his kids how to play, or participating in many of the club tournaments.  He was always the one to watch out for at the Annual Golf Club Championship Tournament every year, taking home the title of Club Champion multiple years in the 1980’s.

Upon his final retirement, he split his time between New Jersey and Arizona, traveling the world and playing golf with his wife Peggy.  They both enjoyed their grandchildren, until her passing in 2011.  After her passing, he could still be found on the golf course, tinkering in his garage, or fixing things around the house.

Mo is predeceased by his wife, Peggy Dietrich Orlando, his daughter, Tanya Orr, and his sister, Joan Cavanaugh.  Surviving are his children and their spouses:  Jill Orlando of Connecticut; Kimberly and David Gittines of Shrewsbury, NJ; Maurice and Callie Orlando of Cherry Hill, NJ; Marc Orlando of Baltimore Maryland, and his son-in-law Rick Orr of Hamden, Massachusetts.  His grandchildren:  Whitney Orr, Edward and Maurice Gittines and Hadleigh Orlando.  His sisters and their husbands; Carole and Ralph Hewitt of GA, Ann and Tom Patsiga of FL, His brother-in-law Tom Cavanaugh of CT.  And many loving nieces and nephews.
