Mary A. (Agresti) Forziati, 97, of Middletown, passed away on Sunday April 4, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Hempfield Township, PA to the late Guiseppi and Michelina (Vitagliano) Agresti. She had previously lived in the Bronx, NY and Fords, NJ and then moved to Middletown.
She is predeceased by her parents and her six siblings: Tessie Martello, Steve Agresti, Jimmy Agresti, Cora Mieli, Louise Treppedi and Lena Conti.
Surviving is her husband, Dominic, of 74 years and her children: Kenneth Forziati of Middletown, and Valerie Lucrezi of Manahawkin and her grandson, Michael Lucrezi of Manahawkin.
Mary loved her family and was known for her excellent cooking and baking skills. She also loved sewing and crafts. Besides being a top notch homemaker, she worked in the local mall as a sales clerk in a fine china and crystal gift store. She also loved planting geraniums every year. In later years, she enjoyed traveling. An especially memorable trip was to Italy in 2006 when she celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary.
Visitation will take place at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Avenue Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Thursday April 8, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank on Friday April 9, 2021 at 10:30 am with interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
