Mary Ann Aravich

Mary Ann Aravich, 74, of Middletown, passed away on December 29th, 2020. She was born in Jersey City to the late Bernard Gaddis and Mary Gaddis, (née Piotrowski). Mary Ann grew up in Lyndhurst, NJ and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Lodi, NJ in 1964. She went on to attend and teach at the School of Business Machines in Newark, where she met her dear husband, the late Walter “Ron” Aravich. They moved to North Arlington, NJ together before making their way to Middletown in 1973. Mary Ann went on to complete her Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ while raising a family, and was later credentialed as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter. Her ingenuity and commitment were integral in her systems analyst position at Continental Insurance, where she designed the company’s property casualty rate quote system. She went on to work at Lakewood Consulting, and Sovereign Bank, from which she would eventually retire.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter “Ron” Aravich in 2015. She is survived by her beloved children, Steven (Mercedes), Michael (Laurie), Kenneth (Lauren), and Rose. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren, Jonathan, Lexy, Izabella, Luke, Jake, Brianna, Emmett, Kevin, Emilly and Ava.

A visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Sunday January 3rd, 2021 from 2-5 PM. A service will be held the following day, January 4th, 2021 at St. Leo the Great in Lincroft at 10:15 AM followed by a burial service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
