Marie Z. Brown

Marie Zalewski Brown, 74 of Middletown, NJ, peacefully passed away at Vitas Healthcare in Wayne, NJ on Saturday, August 21st. The daughter of Henry Zalewski and Olga (nee Palmer) Zalewski, Marie obtained her Master’s degree in Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She spent her post-graduation years working in Education, raising her three children, and notably, working for Lasser Hochman LLC for over fifty years. Marie was a lifelong baker and avid sewist, who enjoyed making quilts and Christmas stockings for the children of friends and family.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, her two brothers, John and Stanley Zalewski and her sister, Carol Eisler. She is survived by her husband , William Dean Brown, her son, Michael William Brown and his wife, Carolyn; by her daughters, Emily Ruth McKeown and son-in-law, Edmund; Caitlin Elizabeth Brown and son-in-law, Michael Smola; and grand-daughters Jane and Mae Brown; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to The John E. Day Funeral Home. There will be a memorial mass offered in her memory on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 9:30 AM at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church in Lincroft. Interment will be private.
