Margaret "Maureen" Ecklof

Margaret “Maureen” Ecklof, 80, was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on August 14, 1937 and lived in Middletown, NJ most of her life before moving to Jupiter, Florida over 20 years ago. She passed away on March 31, 2018 in NJ.

Maureen went to St. Agnes Grammar School, was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School class of ’55 (best class ever!) and Wood Business School. She worked at MED Advertising and was an owner/operator of Ecklof’s Little Red Barn with her husband in Middletown, NJ. She was a former communicant of St. Mary's RC Church in New Monmouth, NJ and St. Peters RC Church in Jupiter, FL.

Maureen is predeceased by her loving husband, Alan C. Ecklof, her parents, Joseph and Margaret Duffy, and her sister, Jo-Ann Lotosky.

She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Steve Bidgood and Colleen and Bob Hernandez; her son, Jeff Ecklof and Jacqueline Duffy, and son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Patricia Ecklof; and her 11 grandchildren, Megan and Seth, Shauna, Delaney, Alyssa, Jeffery, Joey, Justin, Jason, Brianna, Cassie, and Luke. Also surviving are her brother-in-law, Myron Lotosky and all her nieces and nephews.
She lived a full and wonderful life surrounded by her family, close friends, and girls club of 60 years. She will be remembered by her kind heart and beautiful smile and will be greatly missed by all who had the joy of knowing her.

Visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Monday April 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James RC Church on Tuesday April 3, 2018 at 2 p.m.
