Luis Velazquez

Luis Velazquez, 52, of Jackson, passed away at peace on August 11th. He was born to Pedro L. and his late mother Loretta M. (neé Babik) Velazquez in Jersey City in 1965. Luis then moved to Freehold, where he resided for eight years, followed by Red Bank, where he resided for over ten years and was a volunteer with the Red Bank Fire Department, and finally settled into Jackson, where he resided for over 20 years. He was the Assistant Superintendent at Rumson Country Club for over 30 years. Even though he worked hard, he was mostly known to everyone for knowing how to have a great time, especially with family, who will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda L. Velazquez of Ohio, his father, Pedro L., his two brothers: Anthony Velazquez of Toms River, and Peter Velazquez of Eatontown; his two sisters: Mary Chislet of Eatontown, and Candida Mackenzie of Oakhurst; and many other loving family members.

A visitation will be held at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank on Thursday, August 16th from 2-4 & 7-9pm, with a funeral home service at 8pm by clergy from St. Agnes, Atlantic Highlands.
