Leslie Pineiro

Leslie Pineiro, 46, passed away at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch on September 16, 2019.

She was born in Staten Island, NY to Andres and Aurora (Lopez) Pineiro and had been a lifelong resident of Middletown. Leslie is a graduate of Monmouth University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications.

Leslie loved to dance. In her younger years she was a member of Galician and flamenco dance groups and danced at cultural events. She also loved listening to music, reading, solving puzzles, doing arts and crafts, and going for walks on the boardwalk. In her later years her favorite thing to do was go out to eat with family and friends. She especially loved Coca-cola, chocolate milk, pancakes, shrimp, cookies, and ice cream.

Leslie is survived by her parents, her sisters and their spouses: Diana and Younes Ghanian of Atlantic Highlands and Susan and Chris Heckman of Lincroft as well as her four nieces that she loved so much: Audrey and Andrea Ghanian and Jessica and Sara Heckman. Her cousin Eva Valentino was like another sister to her and was always dear to her heart, along with Eva’s spouse Michael and children David and Gabriela. She will be missed by all.

Visitation will take place at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Avenue Red Bank, NJ 07701 from 4-8 PM on Friday, September 20, 2019. A private funeral home service with internment will follow on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
