Kevin Francis Tuohy

September 25, 1953 ~ September 20, 2023 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Tribute

Kevin Francis Tuohy, 69, of Middletown, NJ, bade farewell to this mortal world on September 20 , 2023,
and has embarked on his next grand adventure. Kevin was born on September 25, 1953, in Jersey City,
NJ. When he was twelve years old, his family moved to Little Silver, NJ, which became his home for many
years. Kevin was a true force of joy and laughter in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing
him.
Kevin served his Little Silver community as a police officer for 30 years. He was a volunteer in the Little
Silver Fire Department and on the First Aid Squad, both prior to and during his time in the Little Silver
Police Department. Additionally, Kevin taught courses at the Monmouth County Police Academy and
served on the Little Silver Emergency Management Team. Even after his official retirement, he continued
working for several years at both Fort Monmouth, NJ, and Tobyhanna Army Depot, PA.
Kevin was an avid golfer and, prior to taking the position in the Little Silver Police Department,
considered going pro. For decades he was a well-known player at Fort Monmouth, NJ, and he played on
golf courses around the country when time allowed.
Kevin touched so many lives. With grace and humor, he helped many people in their times of need. He
never found a stray animal that he didn't bring home—and he would make it a family mission to find a
new home for any that could not be reunited with their owners. Kevin was famous for his stories, and he
had one for every occasion. He was Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, delivering gifts to the children of Little
Silver from the town’s fire truck, and a great big Frankenstein hanging out on his front lawn on
Halloween, Kevin truly loved giving back in so many ways to everyone that he could.
Kevin was predeceased by his father, Frank Tuohy, and his mother, Veronica Tuohy.
Kevin's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his beloved family—his son, Timothy Francis
Tuohy, and his daughter, Alice Veronica Tuohy. He will be remembered with fondness by his many, many
aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, who all experienced so many wonderful adventures with Kevin over
the years.
As we bid adieu to Kevin Tuohy, let us remember the laughter he brought, the love he shared, and the
countless lives he touched. May his spirit continue to shine brightly, illuminating our lives even in his
absence. Rest in peace, dear Kevin, knowing that your impact on our world will never be forgotten.
