Julia H. Johnson, 95, of Middletown, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 25. She was born to the late Michael and Julia (nee Iastman) Brado in Richeyville, PA and grew up in Woodbridge before settling in Middletown, where she resided for 20 years. A parishioner of St. Leo, Lincroft, and a former parishioner of St. James, Woodbridge, she was a devoted Catholic her entire life. She loved to play cards, and would spend hours several times a week playing bridge with her friends. Julia was also a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Hopelawn. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Julia is predeceased by her husband, John Johnson, her two sisters: Mary Kielian, and Anna Marincsak; and her sons-in-law Ronald Worobel, and Kenneth Brodowski.
Surviving are her children: Bruce and his wife Nina Johnson of Middletown, Linda Worobel of Middletown, and Nancy and her husband Richard Roszkowski of Avenel; her seven grandchildren: Ronald Jr., Karen, Nicole, Kristen, Michael, Kathleen, and Lauren; her five great-grandchildren: Brianna, Emily, Justin, Ava, and Portia.
A visitation will be held at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank on Friday, June 29th from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, June 30th at St. James, Red Bank at 10am, followed by interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Fords, NJ.
