Judith A Keating

August 13, 1944 ~ June 1, 2018 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Tribute

Judith A. Keating, 73, of Holmdel passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 1st. She was born to the late John and Virginia (Allen) Murphy in Queens in 1944.

Judy was a parishioner at St. Catharine’s in Holmdel. She was an avid golfer at the Navesink Country Club and Hilton Head Island, SC, loved arts and crafts for homemade gifts and making sure no one went home hungry. Judy believed that family was the most important thing in life and that love and support extended to the many children through her years as a Jr. Golf chaperone, Pop Warner and Hight School football mom and working the snack hut for Holmdel Booster Club.  She taught the importance of giving back through her example of volunteering at De Lasalle hall and at St. Catherine’s.

Judy is survived by her husband Robert of almost 53 years. Also surviving are their children: Judy of New York, NY, Brian of Holmdel, NJ, Michael of Holmdel, NJ, Tim of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Sean and his wife Liz Keating of Red Bank, NJ; and her sister Virginia Clark.

Visitation will be at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank on Monday, June 4 from 7-9pm, and Tuesday, May 5 from 2-4:30pm and 7-9:30pm.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 6 at 10:30am at St. Catharine’s in Holmdel.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Judy’s name to Children of Bellevue, 462 First Avenue, ME-15, New York, New York 10016 or The American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736.
