John Zuccaro, 88, passed away at his home in Tinton Falls, New Jersey on Sunday, September 5, 2021. He was born in New York City to the late Matteo and Mary (Pontillo) Zuccaro. After honorably serving in the U.S. Navy, he married the love of his life Concetta, and raised three children. John worked in the construction industry for fifty years, affiliated with Local 731- New York Laborers Union. He worked on and supervised significant construction projects in the New York City Metro area such as the Verrazano- Narrows Bridge, Yankee Stadium, and the World Trade Center, retiring as a Business Agent.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Concetta, in 2018, his loving children Bruce Zuccaro in 2020, and Doreen Zuccaro in May of this year.
Surviving is his eldest son, Steven Zuccaro and his cherished granddaughter, Morgan Zuccaro.
A visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, New Jersey 07701 on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 2 -4 P. M. and 6 -8 P.M.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank, New Jersey on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 10:00 A.M.. Entombment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Middle Village, New York.
