John R. Sheehan

John Sheehan, 81, of Red Bank, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2018.  He was born in Lima, OH to the late Edgar and Anne Loretta Shank Sheehan and raised in Philadelphia, PA.  John was an Executive Director at Bell Labs in Holmdel retiring after 36 years and went on to do consulting work.  He enjoyed performing in many plays at the Monmouth Players’ Community Theater.  John was an avid runner; running the NY, Philadelphia and Seattle marathons. He was a member of the Rumson Hash House Harriers.

He is predeceased by his son Kevin Sheehan and his brothers William and Donald Sheehan. Surviving is his beloved wife of 54 years Audrey Malone Sheehan, his loving daughters Liza Sheehan and Lesley Sheehan and her husband Christian Jackson, daughter-in-law Michele Ruggiero-Sheehan, his cherished grandchildren Teagan and Brogan Ahlers and Michael Sheehan and his dear sister Jane Cryor.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Rd., Fair Haven, NJ on Friday January 26, 2018 at 10 a.m. A celebration of John’s life will be planned during the springtime.
