John will surely be missed by everyone. We are so glad we had the opportunity to have become friends over the years after John did a great job on our renovations. He was a real fighter who continued to exercise throughout his illness and do enjoyable things with his family. Bike riding was one of those activities which we had the chance to enjoy as a group. Our prayers and deepest sympathy for the family.

Dear Claire, Christopher and Chloe-
Our deepest condolences to you all, whom John loved so very much! We met at a very trying time for your family, and I wished that we had met at better times in our lives because we became very fast friends. Over the past year and a half, we'd text one another to check in and talk about what was going on in our lives, and not just the medical stuff: Work, travel, faith, Chris' photography (which he was immensely proud of!) and we commiserated about Giants football. If I hadn't heard from him, I'd text. And he would do the same for me. My last text, about the Super Bowl, wasn't returned, but I hope he saw it, so that he knew that I was thinking of him. I know how hard he fought to stay here on earth with you three, and it was just his time, regardless of how much he wanted to stay. I know its hard to believe, but Leukemia brought two complete strangers together in ways people can't see. I'm so honored that he let me into his world to help him in his fight. I know you know how special John was and how he let you know how much he loved you. I hope that his big heart and his passion for the life he lived stays with you long beyond the tears and the sadness of grief. We both wish you peace in your journeys through life.

Claire and family: We are so sorry to hear about John. He fought a long battle.

John finished our basement on Polly Way probably when the two of you were dating. Jane has kept me up to date on your family and of course, John's illness.

Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
