Joanne M. Lyons

Joanne M. Lyons 87, passed away at home in Tinton Falls on March 13, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, NY., to the late Joseph Reilly and Cecile (Nally).

Joanne attended Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. She loved to read all the latest mystery books and always looked forward to her trips to Atlantic City. She also enjoyed watching her sports, golf and rooting for her favorite football team, the NY Giants were among her favorites.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband John Lyons, Jr. in 1976, her sisters Janet Claridy and Judy Hughie, her brother Joseph Reilly and her son-in-law Wayne Clarke. She is survived by her loving children John L. Lyons III and his wife Suzanne, Doreen Clarke and her fiancé Chris Stair, Colleen Lyons, Kathleen Marinich and her husband Andrei. She is also survived by her sister Jacqueline O’Neill and all of her adoring grandchildren Jack, Kyle, Devin, Brooke, Patrick, Shannon, Michael and many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial Gathering will take place at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Avenue Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Monday March 20, 2017 from 7-9 PM, with a Funeral Home service 8 PM. Cremation will be private.
