Joanne S Coleridge

Joanne S. “Jo Jo” Coleridge (née Schwarz), of Atlantic Highlands, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022. She was born in Manhattan, NY, but, lived her life on the Jersey Shore. She was 77. If pressed she would say her proudest years were those 9 years at Bell Laboratories in Holmdel and the 7 years teaching Sunday School at Christ Episcopal Church in Middletown. Otherwise, it would be reading, knitting, trips to Atlantic City and making her angel food cakes.

She says thanks to God for “that boy next door” her husband of 58 years, Jim. She thanks their children; Melissa and Barry and their spouses Mike and Becky, she would thank her sister-in-law, Ellen and a BIG thank you to her grandchildren; Sophie, Logan, Sarah and Emma.

If she were still here she would say she was grateful to all her friends and relatives for their prayers and support during her fight with cancer, especially the Oncology nurse, Maryann and staff at RCCA who helped her get through treatments and make going there not such a hard place. But she is not here so I will do it for her - The Boy Next Door / beloved husband, Jim.

Family and friends are invited to visitation to the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, NJ on Wednesday, August 10th from 4 to 7pm. A graveside service will commence on Thursday, August 11th at 11am at Fair View Cemetery in Middletown, NJ. Please meet a front gate of cemetery at 10:45am.
