Joan A. Murphy

Joan Ann Murphy, 76, of Little Egg Harbor, formerly of Queens, NY and Bloomfield, NJ for 30 years, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023.

Born in New York City to Anthony and Margaret Micko, Joan was the first-born of three children. She was a graduate of Saint Vincent Ferrer High School in Manhattan and attended Hunter College.

Joan is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Michael A. Micko.

Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, William T. “Bill” Murphy and by her three loving sons, William (Monica) Murphy, Kevin (Lyudmila Tyurina) Murphy and Brian (Kellie) Murphy, as well as five cherished grandchildren, Daniela, Jessica, Patrick, Liam and Leo. She is also survived by her brother, Anthony (Antonia) Micko, her niece, Erica (Dave) Lardieri and her nephew, Kenneth (Chin) Micko.

Family and friends may visit Friday, September 29th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 30th at 10:00am at St. Dorothea’s RC Church, 240 Broad Street, Eatontown and burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
