Inger Barlund Maier

Inger Barlund Maier, 83, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey passed away on December 21, 2018. She was born in Gothenberg, Sweden to the late Gunnar and Eva (Melin) Barlund. Inger enjoyed life as few could, making life-long friends wherever she went.  A hopeful and joyous person, she cherished and nurtured her family with passion and respect.

She is predeceased by her devoted husband Frank Maier in 2008 and her grandchildren Inger Maureen, Christopher Richard, and Matthew Henry, Christian Leigh and James Paul.

She is survived by her three loving daughters, Jean Casner and her husband Stephen of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Lisa Scoutelas and her husband Richard of Little Silver, New Jersey and Susan Kolesar and her husband Paul of Wilmington, North Carolina, her cherished grandchildren Samantha Jean, Shana Marie, and Jonathan Paul, and her dear brother Richard G. Barlund and his wife Sally. Also surviving are her nephew Eric Barlund and her niece Kristin Hackworth and their beautiful families.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent in Inger’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736.
