Helen Pontecorvo

Helen Pontecorvo, 85, of Oceanport, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2020. She was born in Union Beach, NJ to the late James and Ada (Walling) Shea. Helen enjoyed traveling, live musicals and relaxing on the beach.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Joseph J. Pontecorvo Sr., her son Robert Pontecorvo and her brother Raymond Shea.

She is survived by her devoted children, Gina and her husband Andrew Wachs, Joseph J. Pontecorvo, Jr., Donna and her husband Stephen Remaley and her cherished grandchildren Lauren, Stephen Jr., Danielle, and Christopher and her dear brother James Shea and his wife Louise.

Visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Wednesday January 8, 2020  from 9 – 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Keyport at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Keyport.
