Hector E. Dueno

Tribute

Hector E. Dueno, 87 of Shrewsbury, N.J. and formerly of Tallahasee, FL  passed away peacefully on November 7, 2022. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, his family moved to Asbury Park, NJ in the late 1940's. After graduating from Asbury Park High School,  he enlisted in the US Army. After serving his country Hector graduated from Jersey City State College with an RN degree.
He re-enlisted in the Army and eventually became a  Nurse anesthetist. CRNAs have acquired a minimum of a doctorate degree focusing on anesthesia, have completed extensive clinical training, and have passed a certification exam.   

He proudly served his country and retired as a Lt. Colonel after 20 plus years of service. Hector loved travel which included most countries of Europe and the Middle East. A dedicated FSU football fan, he and wife Fabia followed the team closely and attended most games.   He was an avid reader, he loved fishing, and home repair projects. 

Hector is predeceased by his beloved wife, Fabia Baer, two sons, Christopher and Eric Dueno and a sister, Iris.

He is survived by two nephews, Jonathan and Matthew Baer and cousins, Enid C and William Bender. Numerous other cousins live along the East coast.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM and a prayer service at 1:30 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Ave. Red Bank, N.J. Interment and Military Honors will take place at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. on Friday, December 9th at 1:30pm

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to American Cancer Society.
