Very sad to hear the news. I met George and many other great friends at Great Gorge '69-'74. We all had wonderful times at GG & many fun and memorable times at The Quarry. I lost touch with most after moving to Arizona in 1974. Those great time will be remembered by me forever. I know that George will be missed by all there. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

My deepest condolences to Sallie, Vanessa and Michael. This memorial page has a beautiful film with so many memories of George and Sallie and their children, families and friends. It was very touching. He will be missed by many. I have very fond memories of him at the Quarry. Rest in peace George. You lived a life that many men can only dream of!
