Frances Meehan Brill, 77, of Lincroft, NJ passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born to the late James Meehan and Frances Parlante Meehan on June 22, 1941.
Fran was always very proud to be from her beloved one square mile of Hoboken where she attended Demarest High School. After completing her undergraduate and graduate degrees from New Jersey State Teachers College at Jersey City, she had a career as an English Teacher, Guidance Counselor and as a Vice Principal in several Jersey City public high schools for many years before retiring to Wall, NJ. Fran wanted every child to be aware of the importance of and have an opportunity for an education. She always said education was the key to freedom and success.
Fran is predeceased by her husband, David Brill; her brothers, Anthony and James; her stepson, Collin Brill; and her grandson, Jack Esposito. She is survived by her loving daughter and son in law, Colleen and Keith Esposito and her granddaughters, Kathleen and Caroline. She is also survived by her brother and sister in law, Thomas and Ann Meehan. Fran was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind countless stories, many amazing memories and a legacy of selflessness and courage.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leo the Great R.C.
