Elettra Bonfiglio Tornato, 94 of Red Bank NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and dear friend Nancy Joyce at her side.
Born in Milan Italy, she survived WWII, and the fascist regime of Benito Mussoline. She worked as a book keeper in Milan, and later started working for the Italian Cruise Lines, where she ultimately met her husband Carlo. She and her family lived between Italy & America, residing permanently in Red Bank 45 years ago. Her passions were Traveling, Reading, and History, she enjoyed immensely sharing her stories and experiences as a young girl in Italy, with her grandchildren.
What made her the happiest was spending time with her family, she loved long walks with her sister, swimming in the ocean, and dancing, she lived a very long healthy and fruitful life and will truly be missed.
She is preceded by her husband Carlo, her brother Silvio Bonfiglio, sister Elena Sica, niece Sandra Sica,
Surviving is her loving daughter Silvia & husband Peter Squassi, dedicated son Gianni, grandchildren Alex & Cody Squassi, Alexander Riley, and Peter Squassi Jr., her niece Michelle Sica, and Nephew Robert Sica and his wife Anita.
Her final resting place will be Milan Italy alongside her caring husband and parents where her journey began and her heart remains, by her beautiful Duomo di Milano!
