Dorothy Ward Horan

Horan, Dorothy (Mickey) Ward, 87 of Red Bank and formerly of Upper Saddle River, Ramsey, and Staten Island passed away peacefully on June 4, 2019 with her family by her side.  She was born to the late Clarence and Mary Ward.  Dorothy was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother who was very proud of her Irish heritage. She is predeceased by her husband James Patrick Horan and sister Margaret Valentine.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Maureen Horan Kappler and her husband Cliff and Patricia Curtin and her husband Daniel; three grandchildren Jimmy, Caitlin and Catherine and two great grandchildren Jane and Hunter.

A visitation will take place on Friday June 7, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Ave. Red Bank and a Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday June 8, 2019 10 AM at St. James R.C. Church. Interment will immediately follow at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery E. Hanover, N.J.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Food Pantry in Highlands, NJ.
