Tribute

Coyle, Dorothea M. 82 of Lincroft and formerly of Colorado Springs, CO where her heart and home had always been, Jersey City where her parents moved to and South Amboy where she raised her four daughters, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday June 29, 2021. She was born in Trinidad, Colorado to the late Michael and Leonora Palomba Giordano. Dorothea was an accomplished entrepreneur and homemaker. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, attended St. Dominic’s Academy in Jersey City, worked at the Chancery Office of the Arch Diocese of Newark. On her down time, Dorothea enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards but most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband of 59 years , Charles F. Coyle ( 2018 ) and a sister, Carole Blasucci.

Dorothea is survived by four daughters , Teresa Minnick, Donna DiPaolo ( Michael ), Charlene Coyle and Sharon Bloodgood ( Timothy ); two sisters, Cecelia Terranova and Lee Salerno Bossie aka “ GiGi ”; nine grandchildren, Leah ( Greg ), Elizabeth ( Josh ), John ( Morgan ), Cassandra ( Brian ), Katie, Candice (Connor), Jonathon, Rachel and Kevin; eleven great grandchildren, Joshua, Elijah, Noah, John Ryan, Annie Grace, Lily Rose , Charles Frances , Henry, Quinn, Duncan, Evie and many loving and adoring nieces, nephews and godchildren.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Ave. Red Bank, N.J. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. James R. C. Church in Red Bank. Interment will be private at a later date.
