Carol Burke

Carol Burke, 80, of Red Bank, passed away October 8, 2021 at Riverview Medical Center surrounded by her family. Carol was born in Brooklyn, NY. Carol was best known for the way she cared for others. Carol welcomed anyone into her home and kitchen with open arms. She loved cheering for the Yankees, the Golden State Warriors and most importantly, her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her mother, Geraldine Stewart, her brother, Andrew DeMuro, her sister, Geri Gallagher, her husband of 42 years, Henry J. Burke and her son, Robert DeMuro.
Carol is survived by her children; Michael McMahon (Martha) of FL, Lisa Schaffer (Michael) of Toms River, Tina Burke of Red Bank, Toni Howe of Red Bank, Catherine Angelos (Kenneth) of Toms River and Elaine Kovacs (Wayne) of LI, NY, her sister, Lily Lavera (Tony) of Brooklyn, NY, daughter-in-law, Mary DeMuro of Unich Beach and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, October 12 from 3-7PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations in Carol’s memory to Monmouth County SPCA.
