Anthony “Butch” Carasia Sr., 75, of Eatontown, formerly of Rumson & Fair Haven, passed away at Monmouth Medical Center on March 9, 2018. He was born in Newark to the late Anthony and Anna (Fernicola) Carasia.

Butch owned and operated Jersey Wide Service for 40 years, before retiring. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved attending his sons sporting events and spending time with his grandchildren. Butch enjoyed socializing and never missed an opportunity to tell a good story. He also liked fishing, cooking and an afternoon at Monmouth Park with his friends.

Butch was predeceased by his aunt Florence Prignano. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Sandra (Barclay) Carasia, his loving sons Anthony Carasia Jr., of Eatontown, Jeff Carasia (Stephanie) of W. Long Branch, Nick Carasia (Julie) of W. Long Branch and Bill Carasia of Long Branch. Also, his adoring grandchildren Peyton, Joey, Sonny, Vinny, Gianna, Anthony, Ryan and Jax.

Visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue in Red Bank on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 4-8 PM. A funeral home service will take place on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10 AM, with entombment to follow at Woodbine Mausoleum.
