From my earliest memories when she was in her teens, Anne was a ball of fire, fiercely devoted to her nieces and nephews, swept off her feet by Gus. They had two weddings, one in Jersey, the other in Venice. We were late to her Jersey reception, but I remember every moment. She made a glittering bride, eyes everywhere to make sure her guests were enjoying celebrating as much as she was. It's hard to say, "Sorry for your loss," because she gave so much to her family that I prefer to say "Take joy in what you gained!"

We wanted to share our condolences with the DeMatteis family. It is never easy to have to say goodbye to a loved one. The pain of loss can be unbearable. Our Creator promises us that one day this pain will be just a memory. That beautiful promise can be found at Revelation 21:3, 4.
