From my earliest memories when she was in her teens, Anne was a ball of fire, fiercely devoted to her nieces and nephews, swept off her feet by Gus. They had two weddings, one in Jersey, the other in Venice. We were late to her Jersey reception, but I remember every moment. She made a glittering bride, eyes everywhere to make sure her guests were enjoying celebrating as much as she was. It's hard to say, "Sorry for your loss," because she gave so much to her family that I prefer to say "Take joy in what you gained!"

We wanted to share our condolences with the DeMatteis family. It is never easy to have to say goodbye to a loved one. The pain of loss can be unbearable. Our Creator promises us that one day this pain will be just a memory. That beautiful promise can be found at Revelation 21:3, 4. Our pain and suffering will be a thing of the past, and we can cry tears of joy as we welcome back the ones that we love so much. We hope you find comfort in those promises.

Dearest Anne: I will miss our calls and hearing your laugh. You were one of my most favorite relatives and my closest connection to the Caricato side. I wish you peace and happiness in heaven with your beloved Gus and know the Lord is welcoming you with open arms. Love always, Cousin Diana

So many memories of cousin Anne, she was so proud of her roots and loved her husband Gus to the moon and back. Now she can rest in peace in union with him again in heaven together for eternity. What a blessing for her. to be pain free and in the presence of our Lord Jesus! Amen.....will miss you Anne, thank you for the many memories..peace be with you Susan
