Angelo T. Scotti MD

August 5, 1939 ~ September 18, 2021 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Tribute

Angelo T. Scotti M.D., 82, passed away on September 18, 2021.

Dr. Scotti believed in practicing medicine with kindness, in giving his patients hope, and in helping the sick to find humor amid the darkness.

Although he enjoyed an education and history of training that would impress even the most discerning of academics, including Harvard University, The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, the Mayo Clinic, the Center for Disease Control and multiple board certifications, Dr. Scotti chose to return to Monmouth County and use his background and experience to treat people in his own community.

Never rushed in a world that seems to keep accelerating, he took the time to give each of his patients his all, and would never leave the examining room until his job was truly finished.

His natural curiosity and insatiable thirst for information resulted in several decades of accumulated knowledge that led him to become a renowned diagnostician, who was able to solve even the most difficult and complex medical mysteries.

Born to humble beginnings on the West side of Red Bank, New Jersey, Dr. Scotti enriched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to have known him—whether that be as one of the tens of thousands of patients he so skillfully treated over his 56 years as a practicing physician, or as one of the extremely lucky few to have been a member of his family, especially those who were raised by him. However, this was most evident to his wife, who has known for over half a century, that she married a truly remarkable man.

He is survived by his beloved wife Geraldine, his sons David, Daniel and Michael, his granddaughters Alexandra and Samantha, Samantha’s husband Jason, his great-grandchildren Lucas, Ella and Olivia, his sister Diana, and Diana’s daughters Michelle and Nanette (deceased).
