Allan James McLeod Jr.

Allan James McLeod Jr., 80, of Red Bank, NJ passed away on May 22nd, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Allan James McLeod Sr. and Catherine McCarthy.
Allan proudly served this country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. After graduating from St. John’s University in Queens, NY, Allan went on to own his own business, City-Newark Glass Co. in Bayonne, NJ. In addition to being a successful entrepreneur, Allan was also heavily involved in his community as a member of the St. John’s University Alumni Association and as a volunteer at the Red Bank Municipality Court. In his spare time, Allan loved his New York sports teams and regularly rooted for the Mets and the Jets. He was also an avid reader. Allan was dedicated to his family and career, always considering the needs of others on his road to success.

Allan is predeceased by his parents, his son, Daniel McLeod, and his sister, Aurlie Burke. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Joanne Elizabeth McLeod. He is also survived by his three adoring sons, Allan James McLeod III (Jennifer), Michael Joseph McLeod (Wendy Ann), and Stephen Francis McLeod (Michael Stavola), his cherished daughter, Jennifer E. McLeod, his nine grandchildren, Casey, Daniel, Michael, Maggie, Matthew, Connor, Joseph, Jesse, and Ethan, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Wednesday May 26th, 2021 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A mass will be held at St. Michael’s Church in Long Branch, NJ on Thursday May 27th, 2021 at 11 AM followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Middletown, NJ.
