Alice M. Wenzel

Alice Marie Wenzel, 82, passed away on September 23, 2021 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.
She was born in Staten Island, NY to the late Edward and Alice (Rague) Neville. Alice moved to Fords then to River Plaza as a little girl. She graduated from Middletown High School. Alice resided in River Plaza for over 70 years.
Alice loved dance and had tons of energy! She was known as Miss. Alice at the Kathryn Barnett School of Dance, (formerly Leah Mauer School of Dance) in Red Bank for over 35 years.
She had many interests such as: ice skating, the Hallmark Channel, making chocolate chip cookies, music fan, especially country and she LOVED Disney, especially Peter Pan.
Alice was a loving grandmother and spent lots of time with her grandchildren, always attending their dance recitals and competitions and sporting events.
She is predeceased by her parents; her sister, Janice Adcock, who she is surely at rest with and her son in law, William Hendricks, Jr.
Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Joseph Wenzel; Her children and their spouses: Catherine Hendricks of Middletown, Joseph Wenzel of Middletown, Russel and Patti Wenzel of Lincroft and Martin and Katherine Wenzel of FL; her brother and sister in law, Edward and Julia Neville of NC and her loving grandchildren: Shane and Hayley Hendricks and Zachary, Mckenzie, Marlys and Jacob Wenzel.
A Memorial Gathering will take place at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Avenue Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Thursday September 30, 2021 from 4-7PM with a funeral home service at 5PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice's memory to St. Judes at stjude.org/donate
